Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader to serve as the Chair of the Marketing and Management Department at St. John Fisher University's School of Business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing departmental operations, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in teaching, research, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Marketing and Management Department
  • Oversee departmental operations, including curriculum development, faculty supervision, and budget management
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence in teaching, research, and service
  • Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives that align with the School of Business's mission and strategic plan
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote a positive and inclusive departmental culture
  • Represent the department and School of Business at university and external events
Requirements
  • Terminal degree in marketing, management, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Proven track record of academic leadership and departmental management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in teaching, research, and service
