POSITION SUMMARY:

In the role of Patient Services Coordinator/Monitoring Technician, you will operate under the guidance of the charge nurse to facilitate and streamline patient services tailored to the specific age demographics of the patient population.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that high-quality services are delivered efficiently and safely, adhering to the established standards of care within the unit.

It is essential to embody the mission, philosophy, and objectives of both the unit and the organization. Flexibility in adapting to evolving systems is crucial, along with a commitment to demonstrating quality and effectiveness in your work habits. You will be expected to treat all staff, physicians, patients, and families with the utmost consideration and respect.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational Background:

Completion of high school is required. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.


Professional Experience:

A minimum of two years of experience in computer data entry is preferred. Previous experience in a medical environment, such as a physician's office or hospital, is advantageous.


Physical and Other Considerations:

This role may involve long periods of sitting and prolonged exposure to computer screens. Some physical exertion may be required to assist with patient transport.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employees may be exposed to various patient elements and emergency situations, requiring the ability to handle the stress associated with critical incidents.


Job Relationships:

You will report directly to the Director of Emergency Services and the Charge Nurse, while collaborating effectively with healthcare team members and administrative staff to maintain positive working relationships across departments.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Manual Skills: Some manual dexterity and coordination are necessary.

Physical Effort: The role requires medium to heavy physical effort, with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Physical Environment: There may be some exposure to various environmental factors, including odors and noise.
