Job Summary

Laramie County Community College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor, Emergency Medical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching: Teach assigned classes as per course plan and schedule, meeting required contact hours and adhering to approved Master Course Outlines of Record.
  • Curriculum Development: Maintain and adapt curriculum to ensure it is current, effective, and aligned with course and program competencies.
  • Instructional Delivery: Foster a supportive learning environment, incorporate current subject matter expertise, and utilize varied learning activities to maximize student engagement and success.
  • Assessment of Student Learning and Continuous Improvement: Support student learning with timely and ongoing feedback, and comply with College procedures and practices related to instructional delivery, formative and summative assessment, and reporting requirements.
  • Communication: Utilize LCCC email accounts to communicate with students, colleagues, and supervisors, and respond to students in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, successful completion of an EMT program, and an unrestricted license from the state of Wyoming to practice as an EMT or the ability to acquire one prior to start date.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution in Emergency Services or a related field, National Association of EMS Educators Level 1 Instructor, Instructor BCLS or American Heart Association, and EMT Certification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
