Job Summary

Laramie County Community College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our Communication Department. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning. We are committed to providing an exceptional educational experience for our students, and we are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses, including lectures, discussions, and labs, to students in a variety of settings, including face-to-face and online classes.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the College's mission and goals, and that meets the needs of our students.
  • Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including exams, quizzes, and assignments, and provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay current in the field and to improve teaching practices.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Communication or a related field, or 18 graduate credits in Communication.
  • One year of experience teaching at the college level, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Ability to teach a variety of courses, including lectures, discussions, and labs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Ability to use technology, including learning management systems and online tools, to support teaching and learning.
