Position Overview:
Our client, Solomon Page, is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Staff Accountant. This position offers a hybrid work environment.

Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the completion of month-end financial closing activities.
2. Prepare journal entries while ensuring adequate documentation is maintained.
3. Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
4. Perform General Ledger analysis and reconcile accounts.
5. Manage all facets of Accounts Payable, including:
   a. Establishing new vendor accounts.
   b. Securing approvals for invoices.
   c. Coding invoices for the general ledger.
   d. Inputting invoices into the accounting software.
   e. Generating checks and EFT files.
   f. Filing invoices and preparing yearly 1099 forms.
6. Complete annual reports and surveys as required.
7. Identify and document opportunities for process improvements.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BBA or BS).
2. 2-4 years of experience in Public or Private Accounting.
3. Experience with general ledger closing, including journal entry preparation and balance sheet account analysis.
4. Proficiency in preparing bank reconciliations.
5. Familiarity with software implementation and utilization to enhance processes and efficiency.
6. Strong Excel skills, including VLook-up and Pivot tables.
