Ability to learn and utilize instructional technology to support both in-class and remote learning as needed (Zoom, Nearpod). Key Responsibilities: Daily lesson planning and long-term planning utilizing curriculum and resources aligned with KIPP's academic vision and objectives. Regularly analyze data to identify student academic trends and inform instructional practices. Maintain a positive, warm, inclusive, rigorous, and engaging classroom atmosphere that incorporates Restorative Practices and Social Emotional Learning. Implement culturally responsive classroom management strategies to create a safe learning environment for all students. Communicate consistently with staff, students, families, and other key stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships. Participate in weekly Professional Development and other Communities of Practice to continue evolving as an educator. Regularly update student records, including attendance, grades, and behavior data. Physical, Mental, and Environmental Requirements: Physical: Ability to navigate school and classroom settings. Ability to access and utilize technology. Occasional lifting/carrying of equipment weighing 1-20 lbs. Physical agility to perform various duties effectively, which may include kneeling, walking, pushing/pulling, squatting, twisting, turning, bending, stooping, and reaching overhead. Mental: Ability to manage stress from deadlines and standard work expectations, analyze problems and generate alternatives, work with interruptions, concentrate for extended periods, read, calculate, perform routine math tasks, and memorize and recall information. Environmental: School and classroom environments are subject to constant interruptions and distractions. Adhere to health and safety guidelines as outlined by relevant health authorities.
