Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Secretary to join our team at Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the nursing unit by performing various clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to nursing staff, including maintaining accurate patient records and communicating with healthcare teams.
  • Assist with medication management, including verifying orders and stocking medication supplies.
  • Perform various clerical tasks, such as data entry, filing, and answering phone calls.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hospital standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS certification required upon hire.
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
  • Proficient in business software and computer applications.
  • Clerical experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
