This position is for a Civil Engineering CAD Specialist, where you will collaborate closely with our engineers to create site layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams for various infrastructure enhancement projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of drafting methodologies and familiarity with engineering terminology, along with a readiness to embrace diverse roles and acquire new skills and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design municipal, commercial, and private land development initiatives.
- Draft and compile construction drawings as part of a collaborative team.
- Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D for document preparation.
- Adhere to company CAD standards and client specifications.
- Understand fundamental civil site design principles, including grading and pipe networks.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Civil3D is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design or an Associate's degree in computer-aided drafting with 4+ years in the civil engineering sector. If the educational requirement is not met, a portfolio showcasing strong software performance is required.
- Experience with additional software is advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational abilities.
- Strong decision-making and communication skills.
- Capability to work collaboratively with engineers and other drafters to address complex challenges as a team.
