Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Heavy Civil

Sundt is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our Heavy Civil projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the administration and execution of assigned projects in a safe, profitable, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion the orderly transition of projects from the estimating phase to the field, ensuring seamless contract review meetings and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Complete close-out requirements and punch lists in a timely manner, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the Project Superintendent to ensure successful and profitable project execution, monitoring manpower, equipment, and material resources.
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee project success, including safety, schedule, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction, as well as personnel decisions that impact the project.
  • Manage all billings to ensure timely submission of payment applications and collection of payments from clients.
  • Develop and manage the overall CPM schedule with the Project Superintendent, ensuring all procurement is fully coordinated with the Project Engineer.
  • Participate in the business development process, including client contact, relationships, proposals, presentations, and negotiations for selected projects.
  • Prepare the Monthly Progress Report in coordination with the Superintendent, using available reports to manage costs and prepare accurate cost projections.
  • Review and execute all change orders, supplements, and cost control budget adjustments.
  • Verify agreements are executed with insurance in place prior to any subcontractor starting work onsite.
Requirements:
  • Experience in precon managing construction projects, with thorough knowledge of contract documents, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling systems, productivity analysis, construction operations, and cash flow procedures.
  • Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
