About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional individual to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of our warehouse facilities. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for ensuring a clean and safe working environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including scrubbers and pallet jacks.
  • Assist other service personnel with minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Use a variety of cleaning solutions and equipment to maintain the cleanliness of all areas within the facility.
  • Sweep, dust, mop, strip, and wax floors, as well as empty trash cans and recycling bins.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Manager and/or Operations Manager.
  • Clean and maintain office restrooms, breakrooms, and other common areas.
  • Mix and apply cleaning solutions to appropriate strength, replenish soap, towels, and tissue containers, and perform related tasks.
  • Clean outside areas, including snow removal for all walkways and exit doors, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe use.
  • Ability to read and understand cleaning instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to work safely on ladders and in confined areas.
  • Ability to work in different temperatures for sustained periods of time (freezer, cooler, and dry area).
  • Understanding and operation of all equipment safely (buffer, scrubber, scissor lift, and pallet jacks).

What We Offer:

Nicholas and Company offers a competitive hourly rate of $20.00 per hour and a schedule of Sunday-Thursday, 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM.
