About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at Reckitt. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform utilities and building maintenance in conjunction with production requirements.
  • Manage contractors for service and maintenance activities.
  • Inspect production equipment for mechanical defects and coordinate repairs to improve efficiency and ensure standards are consistently met.
  • Inspect department facilities and report damage to Facilities Manager and Production Managers when necessary.
  • Coordinate and prioritize emergency repairs to minimize downtime and/or items that will affect quality and safety.
  • Analyze and recommend safety improvements to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Plan for, establish, and perform preventative and predictive maintenance according to the schedule.
  • Work in a team environment to maintain the facilities, warehouse equipment, and support production equipment and personnel as needed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal customers.
  • Responsible for the purchase of spare parts, procurement of quotes for equipment, and equipment modifications within prescribed budgets.
  • Improve the design and function of the facilities equipment when possible.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of facility maintenance experience in a vitamin, food, chemical, or pharmaceutical environment.
  • A proven background of performing and improving preventive maintenance and autonomous maintenance.
  • Good working knowledge of plant utilities including HVAC, steam, cooling water, purified water, dust collection, compressed air, and wastewater treatment.
  • Analytical skills with a drive to implement improvements.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical engineering skills.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a record of driving improvements.
  • Capable of meeting and exceeding ambitious targets.
  • Knowledge of quality standards/Good Manufacturing Practice and working in a KPI-driven environment.
  • Proficient in basic IT skills.
