Position Overview: As a Lead Retail Security Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the well-being of our store team and customers. Your presence will enhance security measures and foster a safe shopping environment.

This position is essential for promoting effective partnerships with store management and staff, while actively addressing security challenges and loss prevention strategies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Conduct thorough investigations into various risk and loss scenarios within the retail environment, compiling detailed documentation.
    • Collaborate with law enforcement to coordinate investigations, preparing case files for legal proceedings.
    • Represent the organization in court when required, ensuring legal compliance and support.
    • Assess and monitor the physical security of retail locations, addressing any vulnerabilities in collaboration with corporate security teams.
    • Implement and oversee the Asset Protection training program to enhance the skills and knowledge of store personnel.
    • Provide Asset Protection support to various market locations as directed by corporate security leadership.
    • Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures related to Asset Protection, fostering a culture of compliance.
    • Work closely with store management to deepen understanding and engagement in in-store security practices.
    • Participate in ongoing training and updates provided by corporate security teams.
    • Evaluate store-specific strengths and areas for improvement in Asset Protection efforts.
    • Deliver consistent reports to corporate security on potential enhancements and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fraud prevention and security within a retail setting.
  • Strong understanding of local regulations regarding theft and loss prevention.
  • Proficient analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to solve problems independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of delivering training and information in various formats.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business operations and relevant software applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of achieving results both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport across all organizational levels.
