Job Summary

The Discipline Workface Planner is a key member of the construction team, responsible for developing and implementing discipline-specific Construction Work Packages (CWPs) and Installation Work Packages (IWPs). This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement CWPs and IWPs, detailing the sequence of activities, resource requirements, and timelines.
  • Break down CWPs into smaller IWPs, ensuring accurate and efficient execution.
  • Monitor Workface Planning sessions and collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and clients to resolve constraints.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess progress, identify potential challenges, and ensure alignment with project goals and schedule.
  • Support the integration of software required for AWP management, including functionality and usability.
  • Contribute to the constructability process for all projects, seeking to improve methods and work practices.
  • Review and advise on Project Change Notices that may impact established AWP construction plans.
  • Provide training and support on the proper use of applicable software.
  • Foster strong relationships with construction management, project management, and home office engineering teams, as well as subcontractors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
  • 4+ years' related experience in the heavy construction/industrial EPC/EPCM industry, or equivalent field experience.
  • Working knowledge to advanced competency in AWP/CWP Concepts.
  • Demonstrates good analytical skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to work on multiple tasks simultaneously under time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Understanding of Document Management & Control software systems, knowledge of Hexagon SDx, SmartCompletions, and iConstruct capabilities is a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite of products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with physical demands including walking, climbing, and working at heights.
