Regional Property Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Property Manager to oversee the operations of our affordable housing portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of our properties, including staffing, leasing, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective systems to motivate and engage site managers and their teams, resulting in reduced vacancies and improved property performance.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with community-based agencies and stakeholders to create resources and support for residents.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on site activities, compliance, and budget performance.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations, Director of Compliance, and Director of Asset Management to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Oversee the development and implementation of annual budgets and ensure ongoing review of income and expenses.
- Maintain open communication with the Asset Manager and Site Manager to ensure properties are operating within budget guidelines.
- Represent the company at resident and community meetings, as well as ownership and partnership meetings.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a positive attitude and fostering a team environment that values diversity and inclusion.
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance across the portfolio.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in affordable housing site operations, with a strong background in supervision and management. Accredited Resident Manager or Resident Housing Manager designations are preferred. The successful candidate will also have experience working with Housing Finance Agencies and a solid understanding of regulatory agreements.
Preferred QualificationsCertifications in Tax Credits, Certified Occupancy Specialist, Fair Housing, and Blended Occupancy Specialist are highly desirable. Strong verbal and written communication skills, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
