Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for small business development? Do you have a strong background in leadership and management? We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Director to oversee the Central California Small Business Development Center (SBDC) program.
About the RoleThe Regional Director will provide strategic leadership and management to the Central CA SBDC network, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to small businesses in the region. This role will be responsible for overseeing the operations of a complex grant-funded program, managing a $4 million budget, and developing marketing plans to promote the services of the Central CA SBDC.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Central CA SBDC region-wide delivery of services to empower small businesses in 14 counties.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan that aligns with the SBA mission, vision, priorities, and program guidance.
- Secure and maintain funding from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the state of California, host colleges, universities, and other community and corporate partners.
- Manage a team of professionals to achieve programmatic results and meet the outcomes of key stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training.
- A minimum of ten years of directly related experience in business lending, credit, and other financing; small business ownership; starting or growing a business; or other relevant aspects of business development or management.
- A minimum of three years of programmatic and staff management experience working within a small business development center or SBDC Lead Center.
