JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees the daily functions of the warehouse and its personnel. This role is crucial in establishing and upholding standards for receiving, stocking, and distributing all warehouse products and materials.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs daily warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving, stocking, and distribution of goods, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manages warehouse staff activities, encompassing scheduling, staffing, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Engages with customers and other departments to provide accurate and timely information regarding products, materials, or orders.
  • Supplies management with necessary information to aid in policy formulation and budget management.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees inventory management processes, ensuring accurate reporting and control of materials and products received and dispatched from the warehouse.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Some college education is preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

5 to 7 years of relevant experience.

SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office, along with familiarity with office equipment such as computers and copiers.

LEADERSHIP ROLE

This position involves managing a team, providing daily guidance, and may require direct involvement to meet deadlines and resolve issues. Responsibilities include task assignment, adherence to policies, and contributing to hiring and performance assessments.

WORK COMPLEXITY AND JUDGMENT

The role entails applying moderately complex procedures and tasks that vary widely. Independent judgment is often necessary to select and utilize the most suitable resources, with ongoing supervision provided as needed.

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES

Involves compiling and organizing relevant data and figures.

PROBLEM-SOLVING CAPACITY

Decision-making involves both routine and non-routine matters, with some discretion, but remains subject to oversight. The role may require proposing new solutions to challenges and enhancing existing processes.

DECISION IMPACT

Decisions made in this role have minor to moderate impacts on the department or facility, with errors typically identified in subsequent operations.

COMMUNICATION AND INTERACTIONS

Engages in information exchange, providing and receiving details such as options, technical guidance, and reporting outcomes. Interactions primarily occur with customers, supervisors, and colleagues across various departments.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

Responsible for addressing routine customer needs and responding promptly to inquiries and complaints, ensuring appropriate follow-up on escalated issues.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may involve frequent exposure to challenging environmental factors, including extreme temperatures, dust, and noise. The ability to lift and carry weights ranging from 15 to 44 pounds is required.
