JOB SUMMARY

This position oversees the management of warehouse operations and personnel. The role involves establishing and upholding standards for receiving, stocking, and distributing all warehouse products and materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs daily warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving, stocking, and distribution of materials/products, ensuring compliance with established policies and standards.
  • Manages warehouse staff activities, encompassing scheduling, staffing, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Engages with customers and other departments to provide accurate and timely information regarding products, materials, or orders.
  • Supplies necessary information to departmental management to assist in policy formulation and budget management.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees inventory reporting, reconciliation, and control to maintain accurate records of materials and products received and distributed.
  • Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION

Some college education is required.

WORK EXPERIENCE

5 to 7 years of relevant experience is necessary.

SKILLS AND/OR REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office is essential.

Familiarity with office equipment, such as computers and copiers, is required.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

This role involves managing staff and achieving work objectives through direct reports. Provides daily guidance to team members and may engage directly to meet schedules and resolve issues. Responsible for assigning tasks, ensuring deadlines are met, and interpreting policies and procedures.

WORK COMPLEXITY AND INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT

The position requires the application of moderately complex procedures and varied tasks. Independent judgment is frequently needed to select and apply the most suitable resources.

BUDGET AUTHORITY

Responsible for compiling and organizing relevant data and figures.

PROBLEM SOLVING

Decisions involve both routine and non-routine matters, with some discretion, but are subject to approval. The role may involve recommending new solutions to challenges and enhancing existing methods.

IMPACT OF DECISIONS

Decisions typically have minor to small impacts on the department or facility. Errors are generally identified in subsequent operations, where most work is verified, affecting only a single department.

COMMUNICATION AND INTERACTIONS

Engages in information sharing, providing and receiving options, technical direction, and reporting results. Interactions primarily occur with customers, supervisors, and coworkers across various departments.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS

Handles routine customer interactions to meet their needs, responding promptly to inquiries and coordinating appropriate follow-ups. May address escalated issues from team members.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This role involves frequent exposure to challenging environmental factors, including extreme temperatures, dust, and noise. Ability to lift and carry weights ranging from 15 to 44 pounds is required.
