Housing Bridge Program Specialist

The Housing Bridge Specialist plays a vital role in our transitional housing program, promoting consumer choice in housing within the private rental market. This position involves collaborating with clients and clinicians to complete housing applications, managing individual tenant files, and tracking applications and updates in electronic medical records and property management programs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with clients and clinicians to complete housing bridge, 811 PRA, and other relevant housing applications
- Manage individual tenant files, ensuring frequent updates to documentation
- Track applications and updates in electronic medical records and property management programs
- Oversee timely completion of apartment inspections, lease renewals, annual recertifications, and payments to landlords
- Assist clients with identifying initial rental needs and resources, such as security deposits, setting up utilities, and obtaining furniture
- Be the point of contact for landlords, clinicians, and housing entities such as HUD and DHHS
- Be the point of contact with landlords and clients to locate, apply, and assist in securing suitable housing through move-in
- Outreach and networking with local landlords in the community
- A bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, rehabilitation, human services, or a related field is required
- Knowledge of/experience with integrated healthcare practices and community systems is preferred
- Must have organizational, written, and verbal skills
- Basic fundamental computer experience to process email and client access is required
