Recovery Support Specialist

At Housing Services - VOA Mid-States, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Support Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Addiction Recovery Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey.
Job Summary:The Recovery Support Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our residential program and clients. This includes monitoring the functional operations of the facility, maintaining chronological written records of events, and providing transportation and childcare services as needed.
Responsibilities:- Maintain operational control of the facility in the absence of senior staff
- Ensure client compliance with Volunteers of America policies and house rules
- Maintain client sign-in/sign-out log and make periodic tours of the facility and its grounds
- Monitor number of clients in facility and their behavior, hourly
- Complete required documentation and attend training and clinical supervision
- Provide transportation and childcare services as needed
- Observe and report maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Perform Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) duties as assigned by supervision and PQI Committee
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Two years post-secondary education preferred
- Two years prior experience in a treatment facility or other specialized knowledge and experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required
- Ability to be CPR/First Aid certified, upon 30 days of employment
