Job Description

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician Senior Mechanic to join our team in Morrisville, North Carolina. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on our fleet of vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers and software
  • Perform remote triage to assist with roadside breakdowns
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
  • Coach and mentor other technicians to improve their skills
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four years or more of relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
Benefits

  • Quarterly bonus: up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign-on bonus: $6,000 within the first 90 days
  • Monday-Friday schedule with weekends off
  • Second shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm
