Your Role:

Tetra Tech, Inc., a recognized leader in engineering and consulting, is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual for the position of Air Quality Compliance Engineer. This role involves overseeing air quality programs and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the on-site technical authority, supervising other staff and providing essential support through data collection, analysis, and report generation for air quality initiatives.
  • Contribute to the Air Quality Program, including:
    • Conducting compliance inspections and generating reports for maintenance facilities and emission sources.
    • Executing monthly monitoring and reporting of data.
    • Developing annual air emissions inventories utilizing the Air Force Air Program Information Management System.
    • Completing required updates and reports for state and federal agencies.
    • Performing calculations for potential emissions and supporting air conformity analyses.
    • Conducting air quality sampling and analysis, including visual emissions evaluations.
    • Assisting in the review and update of the Air Quality Compliance Plan.
    • Providing training on air quality standards to operational staff.
  • Engage with senior staff to facilitate client interactions and present findings effectively.
  • Ensure timely delivery of quality outputs and collaborate with other environmental program areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Familiarity with Department of Defense regulations and Texas air quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills for direct client interaction and report writing.
  • Proficiency in technical report writing and data analysis.

Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience in air quality management, is preferred.

Work Environment: The role involves both office and fieldwork, including shop surveys and potential travel for training or investigations. Candidates should be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions as necessary.
