Job Summary:

The Program Manager Patient Relations and Safety is a critical role within Christus Health, responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and safety across our healthcare system. This position serves as a single point of contact for patients and families, addressing concerns and grievances in a compassionate and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve patient complaints and grievances in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate performance improvement processes and patient safety initiatives to drive continuous quality improvement
  • Monitor and coordinate responses to regulatory compliance issues related to performance improvement and patient safety
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient-centered care and address patient concerns
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience
  • At least three years of experience in a healthcare environment with interaction and problem-solving situations with patients and families, management team members, administration, and physicians
  • Knowledge of Windows, Internet, email, Meditech, Microsoft Word, and Word Perfect, as well as other software
  • Computer skills necessary to access patient complaint forms and process patient and family concerns
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
