We are currently seeking dedicated and customer-focused Principal Compliance Engineers who can provide exceptional support to our clients while embarking on a fulfilling career with Interclypse. These engineers will guide clients in integrating compliance into their technical operations, ensuring the effective application of compliance principles. The role involves collaborating with clients to translate legal insights and analyses into software and systems engineering requirements that support successful mission-driven results.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and extract relevant excerpts from laws and policies applicable to specific computing platforms and integrated systems.
- Translate legal and policy requirements into software and systems engineering language to facilitate compliance standards application.
- Assist in interpreting existing and upcoming legal, compliance, and policy decisions that may influence implementation strategies.
- Recognize when further legal and policy guidance or authorization is necessary.
- Draft written incident reports and requests for legal or policy evaluations.
- Prepare written recommendations that detail compliance-relevant technical implementation facts.
- Advise on the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
- Contribute during the early design phases to ensure successful compliance outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. privacy laws, regulations, and policies, particularly those affecting the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.
- Demonstrated understanding of the various roles and authorities within the Intelligence Community.
- A minimum of fifteen years of professional experience in legal, compliance, or related fields.
- At least five years of experience within the Intelligence Community in a Legal, Policy, Compliance, or Privacy & Civil Liberties role.
- Formal training or experience in interpreting/applying the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act in intelligence operations.
- Formal training or experience with Federal, State, and international data privacy laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting to stakeholders.
- Work in a dynamic environment that values individual contributions.
