Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Plant Office Administrator to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our plant operations, ensuring the smooth flow of administrative tasks, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate ticketing and dispatching of trucks.
  • Perform daily plant duties, including administrative tasks, such as purchase orders, payables, time cards, and fuel usage.
  • Prepare monthly financial information, including margin and cost statements, and reconcile time cards for plant personnel.
  • Serve as a plant contact, receiving guests, answering phones, and directing questions or problems to the appropriate individual.
  • Maintain correct levels of inventory for plant and office materials, ordering new materials as needed.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, manuals, and forms, and work with the region's Human Resources department to handle personnel requests and problems.
Requirements
  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and common office practices, procedures, and equipment.
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact well with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Unyielding integrity and honesty in business transactions, promoting company policies, and holding self and other employees accountable.
