Probation Officer

Job Summary

As a Community Supervision Officer with Government Jobs, you will play a critical role in ensuring public safety by providing effective supervision of offenders placed under court supervision. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of offenders, develop and implement individualized supervision plans, and collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies to ensure successful reintegration into the community.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of offenders to identify potential risks and develop strategies for successful reintegration
Develop and implement individualized supervision plans that address the unique needs and circumstances of each offender
Collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination of services
Provide guidance and support to offenders to help them achieve their goals and overcome challenges
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of offender activity and progress

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as criminal justice or social work
2+ years of experience in a related field, such as probation or parole
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
