Position Summary: The individual in this role is tasked with delivering job readiness training, coaching, and placement assistance to individuals receiving services through KBEC Group Inc.'s Supported Employment and Job Training Programs.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Program Managers and team members across various programs to ensure effective job readiness and placement for individuals in training and community employment.
  • Engage in job development initiatives by working with local employers to create job opportunities tailored to the needs of individuals.
  • Conduct assessments to identify and implement necessary workplace adjustments to facilitate successful employment outcomes.
  • Assist in the execution of employment services, including:
    • Creating comprehensive employment profiles that reflect the interests and skills of job seekers.
    • Updating participant resumes to meet KBEC Group Inc. standards.
    • Identifying job openings that align with the preferences and abilities of individuals.
    • Performing detailed analyses of work environments through interviews and observations.
    • Coordinating interviews and job placements that align with vocational goals.
    • Providing on-site training and ongoing support to enhance job-related and interpersonal skills.
    • Working with families to highlight the benefits of employment on individual quality of life.
    • Conducting mock interviews to prepare participants for real-world job opportunities.
    • Facilitating student support to achieve employment objectives.
    • Developing lesson plans for classroom instruction with Program Manager approval.
    • Submitting weekly case notes for review by the Program Manager.
    • Overseeing the implementation of Work Adjustment and Pre-Vocational training workshops.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to program services and participant progress, including Individual Work Plans (IWP), job development reports, and monthly updates.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation standards set by the Program Manager and relevant authorities.
  • Complete all required training for self and participants.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support program objectives.

Management Responsibilities: Not Applicable.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in supported employment or vocational training; knowledge of Individualized Work Plans (IWP) and job placement.
  • Associate's Degree or 2 years of college coursework in social services or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in social services or a related field with up to one year of relevant experience.

Language Proficiency:

  • Ability to read and comprehend business documents.
  • Effective communication skills with the business community, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from individuals with disabilities and their families.
  • Proficient in drafting correspondence and reports that adhere to professional standards.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Capability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Experience in teaching money management and consumer skills.
