Job Title: Technical Advisor

Koniag Government Services (KGS) is seeking a highly skilled Technical Advisor to support our government customer in Washington, DC. This position is part of our Future New Business Opportunity and requires a Top-Secret clearance.

About the Role

The Technical Advisor will provide technical expertise to the Host Nation, Regional Organization, or International Organization personnel, working in one or more specialized disciplines. The successful candidate will lead and/or participate in workgroups, provide guidance in their area of capability, and coordinate with U.S. interagency personnel to ensure all U.S. Government program activities are coordinated and support overall U.S. objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise to Host Nation, Regional Organization, or International Organization personnel
  • Lead and/or participate in workgroups
  • Provide guidance in area of capability
  • Coordinate with U.S. interagency personnel
  • Familiarize self with National Security Strategy (NSS), Integrated Country Strategy (ICS), DoD's Regional Combatant Command Theater Campaign Plan and Contingency Plans, and DoD Country-level Plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of prior professional experience working in relevant specialized discipline
  • OR Master's degree and at least 6 years of prior professional experience working in relevant specialized discipline AND Fluent English language speaking and writing ability
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Identify areas for achieving cost savings and needs analysis
  • Prioritize opportunities for implementation
  • Assistance in drafting de-scoping and/or contract mods
  • Assistance with drafting requirements and deliverables
  • Submit monthly progress report to Program Office, Contracting Officer, Contracting Officer Representative, and U.S. Embassy
Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment with a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations, and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
