Job Title: Technical Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Systems Analyst to join our team at Quess GTS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, technical systems, and reinsurance industry knowledge.

Job Summary:

The Technical Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and providing recommendations to drive operational efficiency and improve business outcomes in reinsurance. The role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions to streamline reinsurance workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze existing reinsurance business processes and identify areas for improvement in operational efficiency.
  • Recommend solutions to streamline reinsurance workflows, including policy administration, claims handling, risk management, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and third-party vendors to implement reinsurance software solutions.
  • Define user stories, functional requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Assist in system configuration and integration with other insurance platforms.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that the system meets business needs.
  • Analyze reinsurance data, including premium, loss ratios, and risk exposure.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights to management for decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst/Business Systems Analyst, especially within the Property and Casualty Insurance or Reinsurance domain.
  • Minimum 5+ years of end-to-end Project Management and Project Delivery experience.
  • Strong understanding of reinsurance concepts, including treaty and facultative reinsurance, pricing models, risk management, and claims handling.
  • Experience with P&C Insurance / Reinsurance administration systems (e.g., SAP FS-RI, SICS, Guidewire/Duck Creek Implementation, etc.).
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar).
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) / Professional Risk Manager (PRM) / Agile Certified Professional / Certified Scrum Master (CSM) / Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Industrial Certifications like Reinsurance certifications (e.g., Associate in Reinsurance (ARe), or property and Casualty Insurance Certifications, or AINS-24 (General Insurance for IT and Support Professionals), or similar)
