Junior Agile Product Owner

12-month Contract to Hire

In this role, as a Junior Agile Product Owner, you will act as the internal voice of the customer. This role will define system features, participate in validation, and is responsible for the scope of work. You will utilize your strong business and technical skills and experience to manage your team's intake of work, prioritize delivery, and maximize business value being delivered by your Scrum team. You must be able to work collaboratively as part of a larger technology organization empowered to analyze and deliver innovative solutions to the marketplace. The Product Owner will apply specialized product knowledge and expertise to understand business and technology objectives, communicate the product vision and roadmap, prioritize, and translate needs into requirements to ensure that expected outcomes are achieved.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to exercise considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in planning and delivering initiatives. You will focus on providing thought leadership and work on broader projects that require understanding of wider business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand key business objectives and strategy of the product(s) you support and develop in-depth product knowledge for assigned product area.
  • Establish positive working relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and peers.
  • Drive discussions effectively with parties to elaborate process flows, user stories, story mappings, acceptance criteria, and success criteria.
  • Provide support to training and UAT with product capability details and other inputs as required.
  • Manage product goals and metrics for on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize the backlog of user stories for initiatives and maintain product roadmaps accordingly on a regular basis (weekly).
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to deliver the business case via intake(s), prioritization, budget exercises, design solutions, journey mapping, capability build, adoption, production rollout, and benefit validation.
