Aerospace Underwriter

Global Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Analyst to join our team in Morris Plains, NJ. As an Underwriting Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the General Aviation Underwriting Department in the areas of research and development of pertinent underwriting information, day-to-day servicing, and routine follow-up for outstanding information.

• Load underwriting models, including endorsements and coverages where applicable.
• Create an underwriting analyst pack, which consists of researching risks, loading underwriting models, including endorsements and coverages, and generating reports showing premium and loss information.
• Complete analyst checklists for each file.
• Issue policy, quote, and binder documents along with mid-term changes as directed by the Underwriting Team.
• Assist the Underwriting Team in proofreading documents for final mailing and provide administrative support as directed.
• Review policy detail reports and highlight any discrepancies.
• Contact brokers, head office, or other regional offices.
• Maintain proficiency in systems and interface with these systems at the direction of Underwriting staff.

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & MS Teams).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Previous experience working in a role that required strong analytical skills and precise attention to details.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Two to three years' experience with insurance underwriting type activities.
• Previous experience working in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong Mathematical skills.
