Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team as a Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the coordination and maintenance of efficient imaging operations, ensuring optimal use of resources and minimizing delays.
  • Work collaboratively with the Assistant Chief Technologist and other staff to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, improving patient flow and satisfaction.
  • Perform quality control checks on exams and equipment, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact patient care.
  • Monitor adherence to safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement projects, contributing to the development of new protocols and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to new staff members and students, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, patients, and families, ensuring excellent communication and customer service.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Assume on-call coverage and adjust staffing schedules as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Valid permanent Massachusetts license as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of progressive experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to acquire and utilize knowledge of imaging processes and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment and supplies, with minimal exposure to ionizing radiation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Radiology Information Systems and Hospital Information Systems.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a large open area in radiology, with minimal exposure to ionizing radiation.
  • Continuous standing and lifting, with occasional exposure to human waste and disease.
  • Considerable stress from dealing with a wide variety of hospital staff, patients, and families.
