Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team as a Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the coordination and maintenance of efficient imaging time and human resources within the division.
  • Float among radiology clinics associated with BWH as needed.
  • Perform all staff technologist duties as assigned and required.
  • Work with the Assistant Chief Technologist/Chief Technologist to coordinate patient flow within the division.
  • Assist clerical and support staff within the division as necessary.
  • Perform Quality Control checks for exams and equipment.
  • Identify equipment problems and communicate to immediate supervisor.
  • Monitor adherence to safety policies established within the hospital and division.
  • Participate in ongoing Quality Improvement Projects within the division.
  • Assist with the facilitation of the ongoing development of all staff within the division.
  • Maintain effective working relations and communication with divisional and other hospital personnel.
Requirements
  • Graduated from an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Valid permanent Massachusetts license as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of progressive experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Working Conditions

Must be prepared to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Works in a large open area in radiology, which is noisy and tends to have extreme temperature and humidity variations.

Minimal exposure to ionizing radiation when using proper safety procedures.

Continuous standing and lifting.

Exposure to human waste and disease.

Considerable stress from dealing with a wide variety of hospital staff, patients, and families.
