Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team as a Lead Technologist. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the coordination and maintenance of efficient imaging operations
  • Float among radiology clinics as needed
  • Perform Quality Control checks and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Monitor adherence to safety policies and participate in Quality Improvement Projects
  • Participate in the orientation and instruction of new staff and students
  • Maintain effective working relations with divisional and hospital personnel
  • Manage inventory and supplies, and ensure all products are within safe use periods
  • Work in conjunction with the Assistant Chief to adjust staffing schedules and assume on-call coverage
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Valid permanent Massachusetts license as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of progressive experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Obtained or pursuing an educational degree equal to 2 years of college preparation

  • Analytical abilities to acquire and utilize knowledge of imaging processes and procedures
  • Ability to adapt to changing pace and frequent interruptions
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance
  • Physical capability to lift patients, supplies, and equipment
  • Comprehensive understanding of Radiology Information Systems and Hospital Information Systems
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to diverse roles within the department
  • Awareness of hazards within the department and adherence to safety standards
Working Conditions
  • Prepared to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed
  • Works in a large open area with extreme temperature and humidity variations
  • Minimal exposure to ionizing radiation when using proper safety procedures
  • Continuous standing and lifting
  • Exposure to human waste and disease
  • Considerable stress from dealing with hospital staff, patients, and families
