Job Summary

As an Auto Physical Damage Claims Investigator, you will be responsible for investigating and maintaining auto physical damage claims, reviewing coverages, completing appraisals, and settling claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and Maintain Auto Physical Damage Claims: Conduct thorough investigations of auto physical damage claims, gathering and analyzing evidence to determine the extent of damage and liability.
  • Review Coverages: Review policy coverages to ensure that claims are processed in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete Appraisals: Conduct appraisals of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of damage and estimate repair costs.
  • Settle Claims: Negotiate settlements with claimants and adjusters to resolve claims in a fair and timely manner.
  • Manage Work Inventory: Manage work inventory to meet established goals and deadlines.
  • Support Decisions: Support decisions through proper file documentation and communication.
  • Manage Files: Manage files, making independent decisions and recognizing when assistance is needed.
  • Provide Claim Process and Status: Provide claim process and status to all parties, answering questions or redirecting to other areas as needed.
  • Collaborate with Internal and External Partners: Collaborate as a subject matter expert and technical resource on process and claim resolution with internal and external partners.
Requirements
  • Appraiser License: Must have an appraiser license and be able to write auto estimates in multiple states.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in vehicle estimating or similar insurance industry knowledge.
  • Initiative-Taking: Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
  • Electronic Estimating System: Experience with an Electronic Estimating System (i.e., CCC, ADP, Mitchell).
  • Microsoft Office: A working knowledge of Microsoft Office required (Word, Windows, and Excel).
  • Driver's License: Must have and support a valid driver's license and appraiser licenses (where required).
Work Environment

This is a primarily home-based role, with 80% of the time spent working from home. You must reside within a 50-mile radius of one of our offices or a 30-mile radius of Boston, MA.
