Job Title: Indigenous Clinical Simulation Educator

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as an Indigenous Clinical Simulation Educator. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining daily operations of an Indigenous culturally centered health and clinical simulation space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain daily operations of the Indigenous culturally centered health and clinical simulation space.
  • Operate the simulation suites' overall space, equipment, technologies, and Indigenous standardized patient program.
  • Develop and implement clinical simulation case scenario curriculum.
  • Coordinate simulation workshops and instruction.
  • Supervise oversight of the traditional medicine rooms, storage, plants, and work.
  • Provide expertise in culturally centered clinical simulation pedagogies.
  • Collaborate with leadership, healers, faculty, and staff to ensure evidence-based clinical standards and simulation best practices are integrated from the Indigenous lens.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a basic applied science or related field.
  • Two years of full-time experience as an Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 2 or equivalent.
  • Prior experience with simulation education and/or standardized patients.
  • Demonstrated understanding of multimedia equipment and computer networking.
  • Basic knowledge in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Ability to excel independently and as a team member in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in clinical simulation, health, or allied health professions.
  • Certified Healthcare Operations Specialist (CHOS) Certification or Medical Simulation Operations certificate.
  • Clinical experience as an RN, CRN, LPN, Paramedic, EMT, or ER Technician.
  • Experience working with Indigenous peoples, communities, cultures, healing perspectives, or other related experience.

This is a .50 FTE position with a monthly salary of $2,046.50 to $2,750.50 (pro-rated at .50 FTE). The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid sick and vacation leave, paid holidays, medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, retirement, and deferred compensation.
