Role DescriptionWe are currently seeking candidates for future clinical teaching opportunities.
Chamberlain College of Nursing is looking for Part-Time Clinical Nursing Faculty who are enthusiastic about teaching within our BSN Nursing program.
As a faculty member, you will mentor students in a hands-on clinical environment located in various regions.
Clinical teaching typically involves one 8-12 hour shift during weekdays, evenings, or weekends for an 8-week session at a clinical partner site.
No prior teaching experience is necessary; we welcome applications from nurses with substantial clinical expertise and a completed MSN.

- Capstone Final Practicum
- Fundamentals
- Maternal Child

- Pediatrics
- Deliver the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through effective clinical instruction and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.
- Manage all aspects of individual teaching responsibilities autonomously.
- Design clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students as they deliver care.
- Maintain availability for agency staff support.
- Assess and provide documented feedback to students regarding their performance based on course objectives.
- Offer remediation to students as necessary.
- Stay informed about agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations with assistance from agency personnel.
- Create and distribute written clinical assignments tailored to students' knowledge, skills, and learning needs.
- Timely evaluation and return of homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, and clinical paperwork.
- Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and assessment of programs and the College.
- May assist in teaching didactic course content under the supervision of the course coordinator.
- Keep the course coordinator updated on student and agency-related issues.
- Collaborate with college administration, staff, and fellow faculty to enhance overall college operations and student satisfaction.
- Engage in the College Assessment Program, campus retention initiatives, and adherence to departmental and campus policies.
- Serve as a professional role model in customer service, collaboration, communication, and professionalism.
- Utilize interpersonal skills for group problem-solving and consensus-building.
- Adhere to all relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Report to the dean or assistant dean, with direct oversight from a course coordinator.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- A master's (MSN) or doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in the state where clinicals are scheduled.
- BLS Certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years in the relevant instructional area.
Compensation:
The expected compensation for this position ranges from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, based on the candidate's education and experience. Actual pay may vary based on job-related factors such as course type, experience, geographic location, licensure, market factors, departmental budgets, and responsibilities.
