Our client is a prominent provider of management services to Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), real estate-related operating companies, a mutual fund, and a real estate finance entity.

Established in 1986, this organization has evolved into one of the foremost real estate investment managers in the United States, managing approximately $27.2 billion in total assets across more than 1,400 properties. They employ over 450 real estate professionals across more than 30 offices nationwide.

They are currently in search of a Senior Portfolio Accountant who will oversee and execute the primary accounting functions for a diverse publicly traded REIT's corporate and property-level General Ledgers (G/L).

Responsibilities:
  • Generate and review financial reports and supporting documentation on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage all financial aspects of various portfolios within senior living communities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with managers, tenants, and internal asset management teams of third-party senior living communities.
  • Facilitate the calculation and payment of corporate General and Administrative expenses owed to the client.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Property Management/Accounting software; Yardi is preferred.
  • Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
