Overview

Role Summary:
The essence of privacy is integral to our values at Apple. We are dedicated to providing exceptional features while safeguarding our customers' privacy. The Software Engineering Program Office is in search of a Privacy Engineering Program Leader to collaborate with the User Privacy Team.

In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to delivering high-quality user experiences to millions, all meticulously crafted with privacy as a priority.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Program Leader, your duties will encompass:

  • Formulating processes, overseeing project definitions, engineering milestones, timelines, and status updates for both new and ongoing initiatives.
  • Acting as a catalyst for the teams you support, providing clarity through structured planning, driving execution, establishing goals and expectations, and eliminating obstacles.
  • Influencing and nurturing relationships across various functional areas and organizational levels, including engineering, legal, marketing, design, and leadership.
  • Ensuring that all products, services, and projects are developed with a privacy-first approach by meticulously tracking, accounting for, and delivering the privacy team's contributions on schedule.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in crafting project plans and managing intricate, cross-functional projects.
  • Expertise in navigating ambiguity and leading teams toward clarity.
  • Capability to oversee and manage multiple, unrelated parallel activities.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and advocate for teams without direct authority.
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Skill in creating, driving, and documenting repeatable processes and resources.
  • Adaptable, self-driven, and inquisitive mindset.
  • Genuine passion for privacy.
Education & Experience:

BS/MS degree or equivalent experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, the base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. This allows for growth as you develop within your role.
The base salary range for this position is between $129,600 and $236,300, with actual salary depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the chance to become shareholders through participation in our discretionary employee stock programs.
Employees may be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
