The User Privacy division is looking for an engineer passionate about test development to help maintain the robust privacy safeguards in Apple's platforms across every release and build.

Every Apple product and feature incorporates privacy elements — from Siri to Maps to App Store to UIKit — and your primary focus will be collaborating with teams throughout the organization and at all levels of the technology stack to ensure there is a comprehensive automated testing strategy for their privacy features.

This role will influence software functionalities that affect millions of customers and developers globally.

Responsibilities: This position demands a proactive individual with strong technical and communication abilities to manage tasks such as: working with other teams on their automated testing strategies for iOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS; designing, implementing, and transferring automated tests to teams as needed; integrating with server-side components as appropriate.

Additional duties will include risk assessment and integration testing across Apple platforms.
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience in coding with Objective C or Swift to test APIs, SDKs, or Frameworks
  • Experience in developing for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and/or tvOS using XCTest and Xcode
  • Experience in creating various types of software tests (unit, functional, performance, stress)
  • Experience in leading the development and deployment of continuous integration systems
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and innovative problem solver with a passion for quality software development
  • Ability to assess issues, prioritize effectively, and propose solutions
  • Capacity to work independently, identify problems, and take corrective measures
  • Strong attention to detail
Education & Experience: BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent.

Compensation & Benefits: At Apple, base pay is one component of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.

This offers the opportunity for growth as you develop within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will be influenced by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the chance to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if they voluntarily participate in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
