Job Summary

Stamford Health, a leading healthcare provider in Connecticut, is seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation therapy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver radiation therapy treatment as prescribed by radiation oncologists, ensuring accurate and safe treatment delivery.
  • Maintain and perform daily quality assurance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage inventory of department supplies and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in administrative quality assurance checks and contribute to the development of new techniques or resolution of clinical problems.
  • Collaborate with the Lead/Chief Radiation Therapist to ensure efficient operation of the clinical area and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Valid CT State License in Radiation Therapy.
  • Valid ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy, obtained within 3 months of employment.
  • Valid BLS certification.
  • Associate Degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient technical knowledge and skill set, including efficient operation of equipment, tools, and procedures specific to the assigned area.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and other hospital personnel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing excellent patient care and customer service.
