Job Summary

Stamford Health, a leading healthcare system in Connecticut, is seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation therapy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver radiation therapy treatment as prescribed by radiation oncologists, maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient safety.
  • Perform daily maintenance and quality assurance checks on equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Manage department supplies, maintaining inventory levels and ordering replacements as needed.
  • Participate in administrative quality assurance checks, contributing to the development of new techniques and resolving clinical problems.
  • Administer radiation therapy treatment accurately and safely, monitoring and reporting treatment variances and inconsistencies.
Requirements
  • Valid CT State License in Radiation Therapy
  • Valid ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy, obtained within 3 months of employment
  • Valid BLS certification
  • Associate Degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
