Job Title: Per Diem Radiation Therapist

Stamford Health, a leading healthcare system in Connecticut, is seeking a skilled Per Diem Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiation Oncology department.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Chief Radiation Therapist, the Radiation Therapist is responsible for the delivery of radiation therapy treatment as prescribed by the radiation oncologist, daily maintenance and quality assurance checks for the equipment, maintenance of the inventory of department supplies, and administrative quality assurance checks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver radiation therapy treatment to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
  2. Perform daily maintenance and quality assurance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Maintain inventory of department supplies and ensure timely ordering and restocking.
  4. Conduct administrative quality assurance checks as assigned.
  5. Collaborate with the radiation oncology team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Valid CT State License in Radiation Therapy.
  • Valid ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
  • Valid BLS certification.
  • Associate Degree or Certificate in Radiation Therapy.
Working Conditions:

The Radiation Therapist will work in a fast-paced environment with varying workload and schedule. The position requires the ability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed. The Radiation Therapist will be exposed to ionizing radiation, radioactive isotopes, MR, computers, cancer patients, and their families.
