Job Summary

Stamford Health is seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team in the Radiation Oncology Department. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate administration of radiation therapy treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists, ensuring accurate and safe administration of treatments.
  • Perform daily maintenance and quality assurance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest advancements in radiation therapy and oncology.
Requirements
  • Valid CT State License in Radiation Therapy
  • Valid ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
  • Valid BLS certification
  • Associate Degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
  • Experience working in a radiation oncology department
  • Knowledge of radiation therapy software and systems
