Electronics Assembly Technician for Engineering and Manufacturing

Job Overview:
The Electronics Assembly Technician for Engineering and Manufacturing plays a crucial role in assembling, modifying, and enhancing sophisticated avionics products designed for engineering and pre-production stages, adhering to precise specifications and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hand assembly and rework on circuit card assemblies, significant sub-assemblies, and complete unit assemblies.
- Utilize standard electronic manufacturing tools and equipment proficiently.
- Engage in the mechanical assembly and disassembly of intricate engineering development products.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to facilitate efficient manufacturing processes and ensure readiness for mass production of new products.
- Maintain accurate assembly records within the quality data tracking system.
- Ensure compliance with product quality standards.
- Participate actively in team meetings and discussions.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess an Associate degree in electronics technology from an accredited institution, or a High School Diploma/GED accompanied by a minimum of two years of experience in electronic soldering and assembly.
Preferred Skills:
- Extensive experience in soldering and assembling complex analog and digital circuits.
- Familiarity with various electronic components.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, including build prints, work instructions, and parts lists.
- Experience with hand tools for electronics assembly and rework.
- Capability to achieve and maintain IPC 610 & J-STD soldering certification.
- Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions.
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and PDF viewing software.
- Experience in operating surface mount technology (SMT) assembly lines.
