POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a qualified electrician to fulfill essential functions within our organization. The electrician will be tasked with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment, as well as diagnosing and resolving electrical issues throughout the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizing electrical tools and instruments to fabricate or repair components and systems.
  • Operating mobile equipment as required.
  • Ensuring machinery and equipment functionality through preventive maintenance, following diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications.
  • Designing, constructing, and repairing electrical circuits for tools and equipment.
  • Testing electronic circuits with instruments like digital voltmeters to identify malfunctions.
  • Inspecting, dismantling, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment across the plant.
  • Testing all plant instruments, including pneumatics, flow, pressure, temperature, and level.
  • Complying with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the operation and troubleshooting of all electrical equipment and circuits.
  • Identifying equipment by its assigned number for proper lockout procedures.
  • Collaborating with various departments to provide necessary electrical support for daily maintenance challenges.
  • Keeping an electronic log of significant incidents during shifts.
  • Conducting safety compliance audits to identify unsafe conditions or actions.
  • Assembling, installing, inspecting, maintaining, and testing electrical and electronic systems.
  • Troubleshooting motor circuits, wiring, fuses, and understanding electrical blueprints.
  • Ensuring the proper maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a process manufacturing environment.
  • 1-3 years of electrical experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Strong commitment to safety and the ability to positively represent the company's safety culture.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting operational and safety manuals, along with troubleshooting techniques.
  • Competence in various computer applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work a standard Monday-Friday schedule with on-call availability for emergencies.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet business demands.
  • Capability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform tasks involving crouching, bending, and kneeling.
  • Ability to work in environments with loud noises and extreme heat.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check.

Compensation: $24-$40 Hourly Wage
