**Job Summary:**

Serena & Lily is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Store Leader to join our team in Westport, CT. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales and profitability through effective merchandising, inventory management, and human resources management.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Assist store leadership in establishing and maintaining exceptional client services, ensuring a warm and friendly environment for every client and designer.

• Oversee and manage the operation of the store, including receiving, shipping, and product storage systems, to improve operations and support frontline staff.

• Coordinate with the store leadership team to drive sales and run the business, including managing associates and inventory levels.

• Establish and maintain stockroom standards to facilitate selling floor operations, including minor facility maintenance.

• Assist in the leadership of merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies, and presentations, ensuring the selling floor is adequately stocked and visually appealing.

• Anticipate, plan, and execute supply ordering and selling floor replenishment to enhance the customer experience.

• Manage inbound receiving and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

• Coach, counsel, and develop staff with the Store Leader and Head of Customer Service Experience.

• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:**

• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams to achieve excellence.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver exceptional client service standards.

• Microsoft Windows proficiency, especially Word and Excel.

• 1-3 years of retail leadership experience, preferably in the interiors/home furnishings field or 1-3 years as a Store Associate at Serena & Lily.

• Inventory management or warehouse experience is a plus.

• Ability to work in a team environment and possess a strong sense of personal style.

**Physical Requirements:**

• Ability to process information and merchandise through computer systems and POS systems.

• Ability to communicate with associates and clients.

• Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.

• Ability to freely access all areas of the store, including selling floor, stock area, and register area.

• Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.

• Ability to climb ladders and move or handle merchandise throughout the store, generally weighing 0-50 pounds.

• Ability to work varied hours and days to oversee store operations.
