Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Salon Coordinator to join our team at Whip Salon in Westport, CT. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing bookings, and ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet clients, answer phone calls, and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
  • Booking Management: Master our salon's POS system to create and manage bookings, ensuring accurate scheduling and efficient use of time.
  • Cash Handling: Perform cash counts, keep cash secure, and make bank runs as needed.
  • Front Desk Operations: Welcome guests, provide refreshments, and maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
  • Product Sales: Assist with product sales, including upselling and promoting our salon's offerings.
  • Supply Management: Help place supply orders and ensure the salon is properly stocked with necessary items.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with stylists to ensure they are on time and on schedule with their clients, and provide support with client expectations and issues.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate pricing structures and policies to clients, ensuring a clear understanding of our services and offerings.
  • Salon Maintenance: Ensure the salon is always clean and tidy, meeting customer-facing standards.
  • Administrative Tasks: Run errands, perform cleaning and laundry tasks, and maintain accurate records as needed.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum 1 year in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail or salon environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with POS systems and computers/printers, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with the team to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
