Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Financial Services Customer Service Representative to join our team at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients and customers, resolving complex issues, and ensuring a positive experience for all interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide top-notch customer service to patients and customers via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Resolve complex issues and disputes related to patient accounts, insurance billing, and financial assistance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and resolution of issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on revenue cycle processes, insurance billing, and associated correspondence to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Teach and mentor colleagues on complex issues and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of customer service standard work processes and procedures.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or financial services setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate complex information to customers.
  • Microsoft Office experience and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) a plus.
