Job Summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Consultant to join our team in providing behavioral support services to public schools. As a Behavioral Consultant, you will work collaboratively with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school professionals to develop and implement behavioral support plans for students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Services
    • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors
    • Develop and implement behavior support plans (BSPs) to address specific behavioral needs
    • Provide direct support to students with special needs, including in-class support and individualized instruction
    • Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to develop and implement behavioral support plans
    • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral support plans
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavioral data
    • Submit regular reports to school administrators and other stakeholders
    • Participate in regular meetings with school administrators and other team members to discuss student progress and behavioral support plans
  • Requirements
    • Master's degree in a related field (e.g. special education, psychology, behavior analysis)
    • BCBA certification or eligibility for certification
    • At least 2 years of experience working with students with special needs
    • Experience conducting FBAs and developing BSPs
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
