Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Saint Alphonsus Health System. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with mental health needs. Your expertise and passion for delivering exceptional patient care will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients with mental health needs, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and evidence-based treatments.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork and open communication.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a mental health setting or related field highly desirable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
